We the Woodwork Section [The Woodies] is the largest section in our shed, both in area, patronage and it is very well stocked with machinery. The Woodies also do a broad verity of projects from refurbishing old furniture, making new furniture though to toy making. They have just recently finished re-designing their work area to cut down on noise made by some machines by separating them from the other members who are not using the machinery this also is cutting down on dust that was produced too. This work was carried out by Bill Dinning, John Bodo, Lou Sackett Michael Frost and Tim Rice.

We believe that our Woodwork Section provides a clean, safe, work area for large, to small projects, and is one of the best equipped within the Men's Shed Association

It is ever expanding and whatever your interests are, a beginner, or cabinet maker, a woodturner or just a helper there is help and suport from other members. The Shed's main focus is on the member's individual projects, but there is always community projects being carried out within the shed, and out in the local area too. All work that is carried out is done with a dose of "good humour thrown in" for free.

This group did most of the work on the contrution of the computer building and the recent improvements of the metal work shed.
