Upgrade of the Floor Mounted Drill Press, IMB Grant Project

The Bowral Men's Shed acknowledge the generous support from the IMB Community Foundation of a grant of $1000 used to purchase a new drill Press. Our application was approved by the IMB board of Directors and we received our grant in July 2019.

The Grant Application was made to replaced an old, worn and poor quality drill press with a larger, safer and more accurate model.  This will enable the shed to safely carry out projects that were not possible with the old machine.

The new drill press was ordered within days of receiving our grant delivered and installed without delay.

Shed Members are very pleased with the performance and easy of operation of the Detroit model 12 speed model which has a speed range from 150 to 2450 rpm and a capacity up to 32mm.

They have been using it regularly since its purchase.

The IMB Community Foundation is a great supporter of the Bowral Men's Shed and we have received numerous grants during nearly 16 years of operations.  Their support is greatly appreciated by all members of the Bowral Men's Shed.
