The Wood Shed
The Woodwork shed has a comprehensive assortment of tools to undertake a variety of projects. Members are able to use these facilities to work on individual projects or help with the numerous community projects we undertake (in our workshops only). Training is provided to anyone interested in using this equipment much of which is beyond the economical reach of the home handyman.
Our current project is the installation of a ClearVue Cyclone Dust Extraction unit which is expected to be completed by end of 2020. This unit will provide a cleaner dust free work space for our members. |

CNC Machine
We have invested in a Chinese CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine to allow us to perform small wood engraving jobs and small cutout or pocketing jobs. Table size is about 500x400 mm.
The CNC machine is connected to a computer to load the required cutout pattern. As with all the equipment in our workshops the ability to use the equipment is not beyond the reach of the novice handyman. |
