The Defibrillator Project
The Bowral Men's Shed greatfully acknowledge the Veolia Mulwaree Trust, in their 2017 community funding round, for the Grant of $2099 for the purchase of a defibrillator.
Funding was given to the Bowral Men's Shed in May 2017 by the trust. In June 2017 the defibrillator "AED Lifepak CR was purchased from St Johns. |
The members of the Bowral Men's Shed received training from a St John health professional in the use of the defibrillator and detailed explanations on how and when to use it. Additional information was given on how to apply CPR with a hands on practice session. Maintenance requirements for the AED LifePack was also outlined.

The Bowral shed committee takes it’s responsibility for the well-being of its members very seriously and therefore we are very grateful for the many years of support from Veolia Mulwaree Trust. This defibrillator is a very welcome item in the Men's shed, given the age of our members, “we are the target group” as mentioned by many health professionals. If a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) occurs at the Bowral Men's Shed we can be confident that we can respond in an appropriate way thanks to your support, the training and availability of a defibrillator.
